The mission of Cornerstone Hospice is to make quality hospice care available to all persons, their families, and those affected by death and dying in our community; to advocate effectively for patients comfort, dignity and choice; and to be recognized as the leading source in clinical, ethical and spiritual issues of dying and grief.

Description:
Hospice understands the many complex issues surround a patient and his family when diagnosed with a serious illness. We assists the family in providing the best quality of care in their own environment. With the help of our professional staff and our volunteer program we provide an atmosphere that enables the patient to live the remainder of his/her life to the fullest. In order to help us continue our work we are looking for volunteers to visit with patients, both at home and in skilled nursing facilities; to listen and to provide emotional support. There are also opportunities available for those individuals interested in participating in Health Fairs, Foundation Fundraisers and setting up Educational Displays. Volunteers are also needed to assist with clerical duties. Hispanic volunteers, bilingual as well as Spanish speaking only are encouraged to help. Together we don't add days to their lives but quality to their days.
