ECO-Action is a non-profit, volunteer membership organization dedicated to raising awareness about earth friendly lifestyles, how to make conscious, responsible consumer choices, and how to get involved in environmental issues.

Description:
Perhaps our best known project, and the one for which we are soliciting volunteers is the weekly canoe clean-ups we have been organizing over the last ten years. We have taken approximately 5,000 people out on our
local waterways to remove debris that is treacherous to animals. We have performed over 450 Canoe Clean-ups. Our motivation is to protect animals from eating trash like styrofoam, getting tangled in discarded
fishing line, and removing all plastic and other hazards before the wildlife encounters them. Our trips take place on Sunday afternoons, usually beginning at 3:00 pm. We provide all the equipment and gear and a guide; you provide the energy and enthusiasm and a desire to help wildlife.
