Freedom Ride
Freedom Ride is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives and experiences of individuals with disabilities in the Central Florida Community through therapeutic horseback riding and related activities.
Description:
Freedom Ride is Central Florida's only nationally accredited therapeutic horseback riding center for disabled children and adults. We provide therapeutic riding to adults and children four years and older with Spina Bifida, mental retardation, autism, Down Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, brain injury, speech-language disorders, among others. Freedom Ride opened it's stables in 1998 with one rider and one borrowed horse. Today, Freedom ride has 14 horses, 200+ volunteers and provides therapeutic riding for over 90 local children and adults ever week.
