Audubon Center For Birds Of Prey
National Audubon Society strives to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the Earth's biological diversity.
Description:
Our center focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured, sick and orphaned birds of prey. We take in 600-700 birds per year. About 40 percent of these birds are released back into the wild. We also focus on public education, not only about raptors, but about a variety of environmental and conservation topics. Volunteers help with the cleaning, feeding, rehabilitation and release of the birds. They also help with guest relations and education.
