Agency Details:

IDignity provides identification to the poor. This program also provides access to the required documentation in order to get an ID, such as Social Security Cards & Birth Certificates with the assistance of legal counsel. Without these types of documents the poor are unable to receive help from most social services, get a job, open a banking account and overcome other barriers to become self-sufficient.

Description:
IDignity typically serves around 250 clients per monthly event at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission. Volunteers serve a variety of positions including managing the queue, filling out applications for clients, assisting various agencies and researching information via phone, fax & internet. Volunteers are provided a t-shirt, light breakfast and lunch.

Take Central Blvd two blocks west of I-4 from downtown Orlando. Orlando Union Rescue Mission is located on the corner of Division Ave and Central Blvd. Building has a large red cross on the roof.
