Black Stallion Literacy Foundation
The mission of the Black Stallion Literacy Foundation (BSLF), working through its team of volunteers and professionals, is to help children discover the joys of reading and wonders of learning through the magic of live horses and Black Stallion books by Walter Farley. BSLF instills in young students the desire to read by connecting reading with real-life, enjoyable experiences – and promotes the message that “reading is cool.”
