Helping Other People Eat, H.O.P.E. Inc, is focused on the prevention and awareness of eating disorders. We strive to educate all age groups on the warning signs, symptoms and side effects that accompany eating disorders. We offer information, tutorials, references and public speakers to aid in eliminating eating disorders. H.O.P.E. Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization and works to provide funding for treatment for those who cannot afford it. We support all other advocacy groups and organizations with the same values and efforts to aid in this cause.

Description:
We provide everything from speakers for presentations at schools around the country, to volunteer outreach campaigns for the community to participate in. We have an annual campaign called the "Great Jeans Giveaway" that encourages others to be comfortable with their "genes" and their size and shape. Over the past 3 years, over 6,000 jeans have been collected and donated to 25 agencies in need all while spreading the message of preventing eating disorders and taking care of your body. HOPE Inc. was started in 2001 and members of the group have personally spoken to over 40,000 individuals.

Directions:

Our jeans pick-up and school presentations are held across the state. Our jeans storage unit where we sort them before they are distributed to community organizations is off L.B. McLeod. All other events/activities take place on location.
