BETA Center is a private, non-profit organization with almost 30 years of experience in helping families.
Our Mission: To give our community's children and parents the knowledge and support needed for strong and healthy families

Description:
The agency program services are as follows:
Residential Program: BETA implements a cooperative living program (not a shelter or locked facility) that addresses the issue of homelessness, parenting, and life skills. This program also includes Minors with Minors (MWM) which serves mothers under the age of 17 with their children (the only available resource in our community responding to this need.)

Pregnant & Parenting Teen Program: BETA Center is an Orange County Public School Alternative Education site. This collaborative partnership between BETA Center and OCPS provides academic and support services as well as free developmental childcare to teen mothers in grades 6-12. The GED program is open to the public for those over 16 years of age (with parental approval until age 18).

Neighborhood Services: BETA Center partners with local schools, apartment complexes, and churches to provide programs and support services in targeted communities. The primary focus of this effort is building the family unit through parent education, youth development and self-esteem. Through these programs, we are equipping youth to become better decision-makers and are teaching them to make positive choices. The Neighborhood Service program is the prevention arm of BETA Center.

Parent Education Services: BETA Center hosts a series of workshops and seminars designed to strengthen the family unit, including court-mandated courses required by the state of Florida. BETA Center is an approved provider for Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties.

Emergency Family Support Services: The organization provides emergency food, formula, and diapers to the community at large. These services also include crisis counseling and confidential pregnancy testing.
