Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on May 17, 2010 |
Mending Hearts is looking for individuals and groups to help us raise money to support our affordable housing program. This year we need to raise 36,000.00 to pay OUC for electric and water that is included in our low rent apartments or homes. Thus far we have not had to increase rent but with the increasing costs placed upon us, we need to raise funds for this expense. Our rents are 38% plus under market rates - our families can barely afford that! therefore we need to help them by friend raising on their behalf. The only way to stabilize a family is to keep their rent affordable. Fundraising will allow this :) Have a car wash/ bake sale / jeans day at work / the sky is the limit! A heart to help those less fortunate. This opportunity is sponsored by: Mending Hearts Charities, Inc.
