Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on October 2, 2009 |
Become a vital part of our mission by joining our education team as an education assistant or a docent. Education volunteers help in many ways including leading on-site tours, helping answer general questions at festivals, assisting at outreach programs in local schools and other facilities, with special on-site programs and more. This is a great position for someone that likes to talk and help educate the general public about raptors and the environment. It is also a great opportunity to learn more. Volunteers ages 18+ are needed mostly from Tuesday-Saturday during the day. Some evenings and Sundays as well.
All volunteers need to complete a volunteer profile, attend an orientation and complete a criminal background check. We request volunteers to donate $75.00 to help cover the cost to our Center of this background check. Special consideration is possible for those who cannot afford this cost. There is also an optional Docent training class for those who wish to teach both on and off site programming.
