Volunteers must be 19 to take this sixteen week course on Wednesdays, beginning January 6th from 6:30pm - 10pm each week. The Community Law Enforcement Academy is designed to educate the citizens of Seminole County in the concepts and procedures of law enforcement. There are no physical requirements and it is a free course of instruction taught by members of the Command Staff, Deputy Sheriffs, and staff from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.

Major blocks of instruction include Seminole Neighborhood Policing/Special Operations, Corrections, Criminal Investigations and Youth Services. Volunteers must be 19 years old. It is a 16 week course every Wednesday beginning January 6th from 6:30pm-10:00pm.

Directions:
 I - 4 East - Exit at Lake Mary Boulevard. Turn right and follow Lake Mary Boulevard to College Drive (approximately 3 ½ miles) on right (Entrance to Seminole Community College). Follow road (keeping left) to stop sign and turn right onto Weldon Boulevard. Turn left into the second parking entrance and out builing is a grey portable building with burgundy trim and doors. Park in Parking Lot A directly in front of the building. From 17-92 North to Sanford - Left at light onto County Home Road (at fire station and just before SPCA and Flea World). Bear left at fork by fire station. Follow road to stop sign and turn left. SCVP building is located on the left, behind the construction trades building. Grey portable building with burgundy trim and doors. Park in Parking Lot A directly in front of the building.
